The Google DV360 Connector delivers audience data directly to your Google Display & Video 360 Partner Account for programmatic display and video advertising.

Overview

The connector enables seamless audience data delivery to DV360, allowing you to activate your segments for targeting across Google’s programmatic ecosystem.

Requirements

Account access

  • A Google Display & Video 360 Partner Account
  • Appropriate permissions to create audiences

Supported identifiers

Your data must include at least one of these identifier types, mapped to the corresponding Rosetta Stone attribute: The connector also accepts the generic unique_id attribute when its type resolves to one of the identifiers above. For name-based matching, person_name and iso_3166_1_country are required together. This connector does not accept phone numbers.
Hashed identifiers must use SHA256. See Hashing PII for Upload for formatting requirements.

Installation

1

Navigate to the connector

In Narrative, go to Installed Apps and select Google DV360 Connector.
2

Authenticate with Google

Click Connect and authorize Narrative to access your DV360 account.
3

Select your Partner Account

Choose the Partner Account where audiences will be created.

Creating your profile

After installation, configure your delivery profile to specify how audiences should be created in DV360.

Audience membership duration

Membership duration is how long a delivered identifier remains active in the destination audience before the destination platform expires it. It is distinct from the dataset’s retention policy (which governs data stored in Narrative) and the interface’s refresh window (which governs how stale the source dataset may get). The duration is fixed when the audience is created and the connector never updates it afterward. Connections that deliver to an existing DV360 audience have no duration setting — the audience keeps its current duration. A value outside the valid range falls back to the default (no expiration) rather than producing an error.
Unlike the Google Ads connector, which defaults to its 540-day maximum, this connector defaults to no expiration.

Opt-outs

The Opt Out Configuration tab on the connector page connects a dataset of opted-out users to DV360. Identifiers in the dataset are removed from every Customer Match audience the connection’s profile delivers to. Opt-outs are scoped to a profile, because one profile is one DV360 account: a removal reaches only the audiences under the profile the connection was created on. The tab lists the connections for one profile at a time.
1

Open the Opt Out Configuration tab

In Installed Apps, open Google DV360 Connector and select the Opt Out Configuration tab.
2

Choose a profile

When you have more than one profile, pick the one whose opt-outs you want to see or add to. With a single profile it is selected for you.
3

Connect a dataset

Click Connect opt out dataset. The picker offers datasets that carry at least one identifier column Customer Match reads — or a complete postal address, which Google only matches when the name, country, and address all arrive together — and that aren’t already wired up as an opt-out source for the selected profile.
4

Confirm the opt-out

A confirmation names the dataset you picked and the connector it applies to. Connecting it opts every identifier in the dataset out of DV360 and cannot be undone, so check the name before you click Accept.
You need at least one profile before you can create an opt-out connection.
